Racing as a relay team can be a great solution to many situations: you want to race TOUGHMAN but don’t want to do the whole race solo, you got injured and can’t race one of the three disciplines, you want to get together with a couple of friends and experience TOUGHMAN together. Whatever your reason, racing as a relay is a lot of fun. The relay minimum age is 15 years old. You can have 2 or 3 relay members and you get to select a cool or funny team name to identify yourselves. Your team captain should sign up first and then they get to invite the others to join the team. Note that you will be treated like 3 separate racers when you come to pick up your packets, so you do NOT need to come together to collect it (and please note that you cannot pick up any other teammate’s packet). Relay results are not recognized by USAT rankings so your team time or individual time will not be submitted to USAT. Relay awards are given to the top three teams, 3 awards per place. More relay race details are available as a PDF. You can make changes to your team without a charge, if submitted by July 30th. Changes made Aug 1-Aug 31 will be charged $30 per team change, each time you make a change. NO RELAY CHANGES WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER AUGUST 31.

• You need PHOTO ID to collect your packet. If you are a USA Triathlon member you MUST bring your card. If you lost your card or its expired, bring a copy or renewal receipt: www.usatriathlon.org
• Relays do not have to come together to pick-up their packets and the team captain cannot pick up the whole team’s packet. Each member must pick up their own packet.

• We will gladly exchange your T-shirt size after the race on Sunday. Stop by the Registration tent with your current shirt.
• Chip pickup is only on race morning, located outside the transition area.

You are required to bring photo proof of identity. There are no entry transfers or substitutions. Participants who swap or sell their race number without going through the race management, will not be allowed to race and lose all entry fees as well as be subject to disciplinary action by USAT.

You must be 14 years old or older to participate in any of the TOUGHMAN races (or 14 years old to be part of a relay team). Race age is determined by how old you will be on 12/31 of the current year, which means you may be in an older age group than your current age.

You may check your bike into transition on Saturday 4-7 pm (again, highly suggested but NOT mandatory). Overnight security is not provided.

You must be able to complete the events within the following cut off times to avoid being pulled from the course for safety reasons:
